Castle View High School Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Lanny (Cherylanne) DeRoeck as the Sabercats’ new Head Golf Coach.
DeRoeck brings nearly two decades of coaching and player-development experience as an Assistant Golf Professional / Teaching Professional at Perry Park Country Club (Larkspur, CO), where she has led junior golf programming and camps, coached athletes across skill levels, delivered daily private and group instruction, and built individualized improvement plans that emphasize fundamentals, confidence, and course management.
“Lanny is the kind of coach who develops the whole athlete,” said Castle View Athletic Director Scott Dowis. “Her background in instruction, her commitment to sportsmanship and team culture, and her ability to meet players where they are will elevate our program and create an outstanding experience for our student-athletes.”
A decorated competitor and respected instructor, DeRoeck’s playing accolades include being a Colorado State Match Play Champion (Girls and Women’s divisions), earning a full golf scholarship to Oklahoma State University, and competing at the highest levels of amateur and professional qualifying. She has also been recognized with multiple Colorado Avid Golfer “CAGGY” Best Instructor Awards.
DeRoeck holds a Bachelor of Arts from Oklahoma State University (1995), where she lettered all four years and earned academic and conference honors.
