Sabercat Nation is excited to introduce our new Head Cheer Coach, Jake Compston-Chester! Coach Jake earned the position through three separate interviews in which he shared his passion of teaching; the sport of cheer to our student athletes; and to lead our program through communication, organization, consistent and fair leadership for our student athletes. Below is a bio of our new head cheer coach and information coming soon regarding spring try-outs.
About Coach Jake:
A Texas Native Jake grew up in a military family and lived near Fort Hood Army Base in Fort Hood, Texas. Finding success and excitement in gymnastics, Jake was involved in competitive gymnastics for 8 years. After entering Junior High School in Copperas Cove Texas, he was introduced to cheerleading, both All star and school. Jake excelled in cheer all through high school and college where he placed top 3rd at both NCA Collegiate Nationals and at the Cheerleading Worlds. His Coaching career began during High School working at a local gym. During college he was a head coach and assistant choreographer at Maverick All stars in Weatherford Texas. In 2011 Jake accepted a Head Coaching position at Champion Cheer All stars in Southlake, TX and became a head choreographer for the program. His teams went on to win multiple National Titles and innovative choreography awards. Champion Cheer opened their second location in 2015 where Jake took on the role of Gym Director. During his time at Champion he coached and choreographed for multiple high schools in Texas winning Regional, State and National Titles. While coaching at Champion Cheer All stars Jake found a new journey in fitness and earned his Professional Status in the IFBB League. He currently is the Gym Director and a part of the choreography team for Steele Athletics located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jake is the head coach of teams in both the All star and high school programs. Collectively Jake brings 10+ years of experience in the cheerleading industry. Competing and coaching with the best of the best he is excited to join the Castle View family. In his spare time Jake enjoys working out, being outside, finding new restaurants, and most of all spending time with his husband and two dogs Maddox and Foxxy.

Alexis is a Southern California native who did most of her
extensive training in Huntington Beach, focusing on: jazz, lyrical,
ballet, technique, hip – hop and pom. Growing up she was apart of
her high school's cheer team, pom squad and dance team. After high school, Alexis accepted a scholarship to dance on the Boise State University Mane Line Dance Team. During her time in Idaho, Alexis coached a state ranking team for three years and choreographed for numerous schools and studios. Now a four-year alumni member from Mane Line, Alexis holds a degree in Communication with a minor in American Sign Language. Currently, Alexis is a competitive dance coach at PEAK Athletics, Performance Company Director at E&E Dance Company, Emcee and judge for MOVE Dance Competitionand owns her own choreography agency.
Coach Alexis loves being able to pursue her passion as a
career. Her goal each year as Head Coach is to encourage every
young dancer that comes through the program to graduate as a
strong, confident leader and effective member of society. Alexis is
thankful and appreciative for every one of her dancers and is so
excited to be leading the Castle View Poms Program!
